A decidedly chilly start soon gave way to sunshine and a dry, workable day ideal for making progress across several winter projects.
The final outstanding issue on the Baguley was resolved, and the locomotive was fully reassembled, bringing it very close to returning to service. Timber repairs on the Dough Wagon continued steadily, while repainting work on the mini‑digger also moved forward.
The self‑binding gravel infill between the tracks beside shed 83C was completed, followed by clearing the flangeways along the stock‑display siding. Further tidying took place on shed 83D, with soil removed from the base of the west‑side wall panels to prevent moisture damage.
After lunch, the team regrouped to install the remaining fixing timbers across the north end of the shed frame, with an extra pair of hands helping to get everything aligned and secured.
Another productive day, and very satisfying to see the winter task list shrinking thanks to the consistent hard work of everyone on site.
