A grey and slightly damp day, but dry enough to keep outdoor work moving. With a strong Saturday team on site, several projects made solid progress.
The day began with more chippings being taken to the new hardstanding beside one of the sheds. Cleaning work continued on the dough‑wagon chassis using an air needle gun, while the rest of the team pulled the third and final tarpaulin over the roof of the new shed and secured it—finally giving the structure some real protection from the weather.
A shortage of suitable wood screws briefly halted cladding work, prompting a supply run that also returned with bacon rolls as a well‑earned morale boost for those braving the dreary conditions.
A roof panel was then lifted onto the trolley and fixed in place, noticeably changing its appearance. Meanwhile, cladding installation on another shed continued, with window panels rearranged to fit neatly around the large packing‑case panels salvaged from the power station. Careful measuring and smart use of spare blank panels allowed the team to complete the entire lower half of the east side by day’s end.
In the workshop, all strimmers and brush cutters were fully serviced and overhauled, ready for the next growing season.
