A warm but overcast day saw a smaller team pressing ahead with key projects before conditions worsen. One volunteer completed the repainting of an old compressor unit, transforming it into a striking piece ready to be displayed on a wagon. The rest of the group focused on erecting the second half of the steel frame for shed 83D, choosing not to wait for the weekend due to an unfavourable forecast.

Despite a few alignment challenges and some missing drill holes, steady teamwork — supported by lifting machinery, hand tools, and plenty of improvisation — brought the structure together smoothly. By the end of the day, the frame stood complete apart from a single top rail, which will be installed on Saturday. The next steps will be sourcing purlins, cladding, and roofing to continue the build
