A cool, overcast start on site gradually turned into a warm and pleasant afternoon, making for good working conditions. With plenty of people available, the group split into two teams to push forward on the remaining framing work for shed 83D. One team excavated the slab locations for the column pads, while the other focused on fitting head plates to the new columns and securing them to the trusses — a task that involved plenty of drilling, bolting, problem‑solving, and some heavy‑equipment assistance to get everything aligned.
By the end of the day, all foundation pads were in place and every column was successfully bolted to its truss, leaving the structure ready for lifting and final assembly next Saturday. Additional progress was also made on the Wickham Trolley project. The day wrapped up with appreciation for everyone’s hard work and determination.
