North Wall on 83D nears completion on a grey, productive day

end coming together

It started off quite grey and damp on site, but at least it was fairly warm. It was a small team today, but we got on with various tasks. One member fabricated a longer additional checkrail for the ‘Y’ points outside shed 83C in readiness for the upcoming running season, while another continued repainting the mini‑digger.

The rest of us spent the morning doing the final packing, levelling, and fixing for the two main upper panels on the north elevation of shed 83D. In the afternoon, with a couple more hands joining us, we trimmed and hoisted the final central half‑glazed panel into place and fixed it securely. The end wall of the building is now almost fully skinned — a major milestone in the construction process.

Meanwhile, workshop tasks continued in the background, making it a very productive day with a great deal achieved.
