The day began misty and chilly, but once the sun broke through it warmed up enough to continue outdoor work.
Two team members moved all of vehicles (including the works train) out of the workshop and set up the bench saw to cut down more of the timber salvaged from the power station, ready for use on the new shed.
Most of the team spent the day installing additional upper cladding panels on the shed’s side. With careful trimming, alignment and plenty of long screws, five of the six panels are now in place, leaving only a small final section to complete next week.
The tarpaulins were then secured with battens and screws to help them withstand any rough Christmas weather.
Meanwhile, a long‑overdue tidy and clear‑out began in the generator room.
With the light fading early, the team wrapped up around mid‑afternoon—another steady and productive day.
