Mixed weather on site today it was fairly warm but with a lot of cloud and frequent, sometimes heavy, showers. Only four people were on site due to tube strikes and work commitments, but work continued regardless.
One team member began applying the green topcoat to the compressor unit, giving it a very smart finish. Two others cleaned down the last of the column steels outside shed 83B and managed to get all three painted before the first serious rain arrived.
Another team member discovered some small but decent 12‑volt lamps in ARS2, providing illumination for the Wickham trolley then carried out remedial welding on pointset no. 15 in an attempt to cure the derailing issue with the Trecwn wagons. Although the attempt was unsuccessful, it revealed that the rails are under‑gauge at that point, which may be the root cause and will be addressed in due course.

In the afternoon, work continued on the seat for the Wickham trolley using suitable decking panels found in storage, while two team members progressed the cleaning and red‑oxide coating of the bufferstop unit in 83A.
